Gingerbread recipe + icing for decoration

Christmas is almost here! And baking and decorating some gingerbread is so much fun for all the family! So today I want to share with you my own recipe, with some extra tips as usual. At the end of the video I'll show you how to prepare a papper cone so you can decorate your gingermen with your favourite colours.

Ingredients:
170gr butter
190gr muscovado sugar
100gr eggs
5gr cinnamon
562gr flour
5gr ginger
8gr baking powder
Icing:
150gr icing sugar
Lemon juice
30gr egg white
Gel colours

Steps:
Mix the butter with the muscovado sugar in your mixing machine until you get a compact and well mixed dough. TIP: If you have a blow tourche, you can use it to softner the butter.

2. Combine all your powders together, flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking and add them to the dough.
3. Mix until you will get a texture similar to a sand, then you can add the eggs.

4. Once the dough is ready you can leave it in the fridge for about 2h before shaping.
5. Sape your ginger men and bake at 170ºC for 15-20 minutes.


6. Prepare your icing mixing the egg white, lemon juice and icing sugar. After add the colours. TIP: You can use gel colours, you can find them on my amazon shop.
