Amaze your friends with this great combination of flavours.
I'm using the Lavander "Officinalis Imperia" which has great gastronomic benefits. The flavour of this Lavander is important, with a note of honey at the end. Combined with the cocoa, Rich Terracotta from De Zaan is just perfect!
This cocoa has a strong flavour, not too acidic and fatty (always try to use a low-fat and not too acidic cocoa if you have to combine it with other ingredients).
As the last touch add the figs, perfect to add sweetness, softness and consistency to the cake. Get some ideas of how to decorate with cocoa buttercream. Give some colour with the figs and lavender, take some photo shots for Instagram and enjoy!

Steps
Beat eggs, salts, sugar and butter.
Whisk the powders together, flour, cocoa and baking powder. TIP: This way you will avoid lumps.
Add the powders alternated with the milk in 3 times. TIP: This way the mixture will be more homogeneous.
Chop the figs and add them to the mix.
Add a tbs of the Lavander Officinalis Imperia while mixing. TIP: This type of lavender has many gastronomic benefits.
Spray your tray or use butter and flour before you pour the mix covering 3/4 parts of it.
Bake at 170ºC with ventilated oven for 30-40 minutes.
When is ready leave it to chill and prepare your buttercream for decoration.
For the buttercream, beat the butter, sugar and cocoa. TIP: Use caster or icing sugar depending on the texture you want to have. When is well mixed add the single cream and keep mixing.
Decorate with the buttercream, figs and lavender. Personalize: You can cut the cake in half and add some extra buttercream. You can use any other fruit or flour if you want to play with the flavours.
